Solo-Developed Indie Game on Steam
A solo-developed indie game published on Steam, built in Unreal Engine. A janitor discovers the source of the poison hurting his town at a local chemical plant. Inspired by the same true story as the film Dark Waters.
Features co-op multiplayer, custom character animation, hand-modeled environments with foliage systems, a custom fur shader for the bear companion character, and a full boss battle sequence. All art, code, and design by a single developer.
The game world includes tropical island environments, detailed tiki architecture, bioluminescent foliage, and hand-painted texture work across dozens of unique assets.

A solo-developed game has to balance scope, story, art direction, gameplay systems, and shipping reality. The challenge was building a complete Unreal Engine game with enough mechanical and visual depth to stand on Steam while keeping the production feasible for one developer.
The project needed to combine a serious environmental premise with a stylized island world, co-op mechanics, custom characters, and a readable action-adventure structure. Every feature had to earn its place because every asset, animation, system, and level pass had to be produced by one person.
I kept the world visually bold and modular, using hand-built tiki architecture, tropical foliage, and a clear island setting to make the game memorable without requiring a huge content team. Gameplay focused on direct interaction, traversal, combat, and co-op support rather than sprawling systemic complexity.
The result shipped on Steam as a complete solo-developed Unreal Engine game with custom art, animation, environments, boss content, and a published storefront presence.
Built as a solo project covering gameplay programming, level design, 3D assets, animation, materials, UI, and publishing.
Includes co-op play, custom character behavior, boss encounters, foliage-rich environments, and a full game loop around exploration and combat.
Environment and character assets were modeled, textured, animated, and integrated through a custom Unreal Engine production pipeline.
